The Black Butterfly Collective - a dynamic nonprofit organization dedicated to creating safe, healing, and inclusive spaces that empower BIPOC Transwomen. We assist BIPOC Transwomen with accessing resources necessary to thrive and live full lives.
At The Black Butterfly Collective, we believe in the power of unity and collaboration. We strive to create a more inclusive society where every individual has the chance to spread their wings and soar. Through our programs, initiatives, and advocacy efforts, we aim to effect positive change and build a more equitable future for BIPOC Transwomen.
Who we are
The Black Butterfly Collective is a dynamic nonprofit organization founded by a black transwoman dedicated to creating safe, healing, and inclusive spaces that empower BIPOC Transwomen. We host podcasts catered to navigating life's barriers as a Transwoman. Some topics include current state legislation and bills to watch, beauty tips, consumer economics, and dating and sexual health. We are community health workers and CDC certified sexual health and wellness program facilitators. We host quarterly retreats for BIPOC transwomen to work with mental health therapists to heal past traumas, change behaviors, and develop sisterhood.
We host quarterly healing retreats, monthly Tea parties (in- person meetings with women of all backgrounds), and we provide weekly social media live streams and podcasts. discussing various aspects of navigating life's barriers. We also have a community closet that provides gender affirming items (professional shoes/clothing) and we always provide nutritional supplements during our meetings.
